Borrowed calendars
A place keeping days that belong somewhere else — a territory filled in from its sovereign's list, a subdivision holding only its country's national calendar. Sovereignty is not a calendar.

A subdivision inherits its parent's calendar and may add to it. It cannot decline a day. Three territories hit that wall in a single afternoon, and the honest response was to publish the contradiction rather than tidy it.

An island named after a feast day was recorded as not keeping it. Three South Atlantic territories share a government and legislate three different calendars, and none of the three is the United Kingdom's.
